Breathing the Machine – There is Progress!!!

Well I’ll be damned, just mixed 3 tracks that needed to be mixed for awhile now (levels were bugging the hell out of me). And I may have an unsuspected track appearing on the album which will more than likely be an instrumental downtempo track. I have a feeling it’ll probably be the track that closes the album. As of this moment, I think it’s safe to say that 8 tracks for “Breathing the Machine” are done and ready for the mastering stage. Just a few more tracks to flesh out and mix properly and re-record some vox and guitars and reprogram some synths and strings and then mix and level and get it all ear-tingly-nice. This album may come out sooner than I even expected at this rate!

On a side note, June 18th is going to be my next live show. This time, if all goes well, I plan on actually singing a couple of my tracks from Breathing the Machine and then mixing that into my DJ set. You can get all the information on where I’ll be playing RIGHT HERE!

And some of you may be wondering when in the hell I’m going to do my online DJ broadcast where you can actually sit back (or rock out) to a full Bullet of Reason DJ set in your very own home wherever you are in the world!  Well, I’m still putting that playlist together and I can tell you this: It’ll probably kick start the summer. More details on that to come! Next, I’ll try to figure out how I can actually do that by popping out of the screen and into your living rooms or wherever you keep your computers.

“So… do you like stuff??”

Anytime I ask anyone if they like stuff is usually when there’s awkward silence and I’m forced to break it somehow. In this case, I’m actually presenting you with stuff that hopefully you’ll like… without the awkward part.

First off, I’d like to say that the title of this entry pretty much says it all. If you’re a remixer or if you want to start remixing…. or if you listened to Black Widow and thought to yourself “Damn, I could do so much better than the original; I want to remix the hell out of that track!” well now’s your lucky day! Head on over to this link and download the remix files for your remixing pleasure! I’d love to hear what you do to it!

Secondly, I’ve also uploaded the demo version of the title track from my upcoming album “Breathing the Machine”. It will be fully mixed and mastered (along with all the other tracks you’ve already heard from the EP as well as some material you haven’t had the chance to hear yet) next year at some time that would pose convenient for both myself and (hopefully) the studios I’ll be mastering them in. So if you wanna take a listen to what Breathing the Machine sounds like, then now’s your chance as it is now live on my SoundCloud page. What I’ve been up too…

Been a little while since I’ve really done any updating here so here goes:

I’ve been busy working on new material….

Yep, that’s really about it! I’m hoping to get the title track for “Breathing the Machine” done this week. What you’ll hear may be the final version, however since I’ll be going to school this January for audio engineering I’ll probably end up going back to the project and remastering the whole thing all together…… hell, I’ll probably end up doing that to all my tracks I’ve released so far. That way when the full album drops, everything will be nicely mastered to something both you and I can actually enjoy.

Other than working on Breathing the Machine, I’ve been occupying my time with my other alias Platinum Dragon17. I’m in the process of bringing that project back to life but in a different way than just as a solo artist. I’m going to be taking that bad boy to the stage…. well…. DJ booth would be more like it. I’m still going to be working on my own original material, but it will primarily be focused as my DJ name.

Speaking of live…. some of you have been asking when the hell will you see Bullet of Reason kick some ass live! You know, that’s still a very good question. I’m hoping to have some stuff sorted out early next year in regards to how I can even bring my show to life…. stay tuned and keep pushing me on getting it up and running so that you can see me go bat-shit crazy on stage while jumping from guitar to mic to keyboard to whatever else I need to make a Bullet of Reason show possible.

E.T. (Katy Perry Cover) Work In Progress PREVIEW

So here’s a work in progress preview of the cover I’m working on… E.T. by Katy Perry.

The vocals at the moment are there as placeholders and will be redone. I’m also considering on adding some guitars to the mix to give it that nice Bullet of Reason sound you’ve come to enjoy. Though this may work without the guitars….. we’ll see.

EP, ethereal|Lust, PD17 and Step Zer0!

Alright boys and girls here goes…

While the Breathing the Machine – EP is not yet ready for your downloading pleasure I can say that it’s in the final step and will be sent off to FiXT Store over the next few days for them to process and get it up and running in the store.

So why the hell have I been delaying this release? Well, remember how I promised a remix of Chaotika by Martin Harp? Martin ran into a couple studio problems and then moving and then lack of internet. This entire phase made it quite difficult for him to work on and send me the remix. No fault on him (still love you Martin!). I’ve spoke with him and the good people over at FiXT and we’ve come up with a solution…

I don’t want to delay the EP anymore, so I’ll be sending them the EP with 5 tracks (4 originals and 1 remix by Clarck Cunt). Then, when you purchase the EP from FiXT you will be able to re-download the EP once Martin’s remix is complete, free of charge. I will of course notify you of the updated download file so you can go back to the FiXT Store and re-download it. Send me an email with your proof of purchase and I’ll will save it so that when the remix and updated EP becomes available I will personally send you an email telling you to go and re-download the EP from your downloads. If you run into any issues, please let me know and I’ll be sure to sort it out.

With that being said, when can you get the EP? Hopefully in the next week or so! I’ll be sure to let you know as soon as it’s up and running (so stay tuned).

*phew* okay, so part one is done…

As you probably already have heard, I’m also working in my band with the lovely Roxanne in ethereal|Lust. So far, the response has been full of kick ass and positive vibes. We’re both extremely happy that you’ve been enjoying what you’ve been hearing and we promise more to come soon. We’re working on putting together a small little EP over the next few weeks so that you have something else to listen to that isn’t Bullet of Reason.

UPDATES!

For the past few weeks I’ve been keeping crazy busy with stuff (and for once it’s actually music related). I’ve been working with the guy who’s been putting together my cover art and I’m so freaking excited to show it to you……. but you’ll have to wait until the EP is released.

Speaking of EP, I’m still in the works of gathering everything together for the Breathing the Machine – EP and making sure it’s good to go for your ears. I’ve been a little delayed as I’ve also started to work on a new side project, ethereal|Lust. It’s with Roxanne who is also known as the Chicken Girl over on Blue Stahli’s blog. This will be fronted by her melodic vocals with yours truly backing up the creepy and screamy factor. In fact, we’ve actually got a song ready for your ears if you’d like to hear it (see below for our SoundCloud)!
