Bullet of Reason – Monster You Created (Live Vocal Performance)

As mentioned before in my previous post about my live vocal performance of “Pretty Suicide”, I’ve gone and done another performance… this time of “Monster You Created”.

The response from the Pretty Suicide video has been pretty positive so far and many of you wanted to hear more. This is encouraging! I will be doing more of these performance videos in the coming months, amongst all the other things I’m working on.

So here it is, the live vocal performance of Monster You Created!

Hey everyone!

Once a month I will be uploading some tunes that will be featured under my “Lost In Circuitry” playlist. These are essentially ideas that are brewing in my head at random points in time, or late night sessions that may turn into something more, who knows!

Best part? You get to have these all for FREE!

Check out the first release for Lost In Circuitry called “Journey On The Grid”

Don’t Fret Precious I’m Here…….. and album news!

It took a lot of courage to go in and cover this tune, but I finally did it… and I’m happy to say that I’m proud of it! It’s a FREE download so why don’t you go and grab yourself a copy of it and jam it right into your ear holes?!

And here’s some album news……..

Ready?

It’s done… ‘Breathing the Machine’ is finished… ready to be put to CDs and start delivering it to YOU! I will be revealing the album artwork sometime this week on my Facebook Page as well as the full tracklist, and then updating it here later.

I’m just a little excited…… and relieved (but mostly excited)!

It’s almost ready…

It’s coming together very nicely and it’s almost done. Those are words I didn’t think I’d be saying anytime soon…. but it’s true. “Perfect Poison” has been cut from the album, but will not be forgotten. This will give the album a few extra minutes to play around with. “Stand Together” just needs some verse vocals set in place and then I can call it “pretty-much-complete”. Which leads me to some big news about “Slay to Survive”. I’m in the process of rebuilding this track from the ground up, starting it from scratch. But this time with a little bit of help…

As some of you may already know, “Slay to Survive” was originally a track from my old band DoublEdged. It was a huge tune (at least to us) and was possibly our favourite track. So my plan is to gather a few of my old band-mates together to bring this track back to life and essentially build a full length song full of pure rock and metal madness with the essential Bullet of Reason style electronics…

… But that’s not all that’ll be done with this track. I’ll also be looking at YOU for some help.

Stay tuned for more details!

Huge Album Update!!!

So here’s the deal… “Breathing the Machine” is coming closer to completion and I’ve been tossing around a few ideas on how I want to release it… and I think I’ve figured it out:

I will release the full album in what I like to call “Story Mode” through a CD release. This “mode” or version will have crossfades and give you the experience I originally planned for this album.

I’m also going to be releasing it as a Digital Download. This version will be released as “Shuffle Friendly”, meaning it will have the same tracklist as the CD release but will not have it fading into one another… that way if you want to pick and choose the tracks you want to play you won’t have the previous track possibly bleeding into the start of the next track.

I’ve also been tossing around the idea of releasing “Breathing the Machine” in a Deluxe Edition exclusively sold through my website (once I figure out how I’ll actually do it). This edition will essentially be a bundle package of the full album on CD in “Story Mode”, the digital version in “Shuffle Friendly”, as well as the entire album as Instrumentals (digital download only). I will also personally sign each Deluxe Edition package and personally mail it out to you myself while you get to enjoy the digital version as you wait for the physical album in the mail.
I still need to figure out how to do this method, but I swear I’ll figure it out!

Here’s where you come in. As we are now living in the digital age of downloads and CDs seem to be fading away into oblivion (which saddens me greatly), should I even consider releasing this album as a physical release or just as a download only album? Who here would actually be interested in having a physical copy of the album in their hands so they can listen to it the “old fashioned way”? I’m really only asking this because I want to do my best to invest however much I need to invest on the priorities. I don’t want to print 100 or more CDs and have them just sit in a box waiting to become a coaster at my family events or whatever…….. though they may make fun and deadly frisbees. The life of an independent artist!

So what say you? How do you feel about all this? I really do value your opinion and would love to hear back from you!

Oh and on a side note… if all goes as planned… this album will be release in the early weeks of summer…… just saying. And I’m really excited! It’s about damn time!

Until next update!

What I’ve been up too…

Been a little while since I’ve really done any updating here so here goes:

I’ve been busy working on new material….

Yep, that’s really about it! I’m hoping to get the title track for “Breathing the Machine” done this week. What you’ll hear may be the final version, however since I’ll be going to school this January for audio engineering I’ll probably end up going back to the project and remastering the whole thing all together…… hell, I’ll probably end up doing that to all my tracks I’ve released so far. That way when the full album drops, everything will be nicely mastered to something both you and I can actually enjoy.

Other than working on Breathing the Machine, I’ve been occupying my time with my other alias Platinum Dragon17. I’m in the process of bringing that project back to life but in a different way than just as a solo artist. I’m going to be taking that bad boy to the stage…. well…. DJ booth would be more like it. I’m still going to be working on my own original material, but it will primarily be focused as my DJ name.

Speaking of live…. some of you have been asking when the hell will you see Bullet of Reason kick some ass live! You know, that’s still a very good question. I’m hoping to have some stuff sorted out early next year in regards to how I can even bring my show to life…. stay tuned and keep pushing me on getting it up and running so that you can see me go bat-shit crazy on stage while jumping from guitar to mic to keyboard to whatever else I need to make a Bullet of Reason show possible.

If you haven’t already picked it up, head over to my SoundCloud page and download my FREE cover of Katy Perry’s “E.T.”

Until next update…
