Once a month I will be uploading some tunes that will be featured under my “Lost In Circuitry” playlist. These are essentially ideas that are brewing in my head at random points in time, or late night sessions that may turn into something more, who knows!

First of all,
Wow… is this really happening? Am I dreaming? This album is FINALLY released? Believe me, I’m just as shocked as you are.
But even though it feels like a dream, there’s really no going back now is there?
This album has been in the making for about 6 years now (yes, I started it even while I was finishing up my first album “Assault on Your Reckoning”). A lot of the lyrics were compiled over many years and it took me awhile to try to sort it all out to make some sense of it all. Some stuff from my old Platinum Dragon17 days, some stuff from my old DoublEdged days, and of course new material based on life experiences and the ups and downs that took place. It’s been a hell of a roller coaster ride which would really explain why this album was the longest album I’ve ever spent any time on. I think it’s fair to say that I’m extremely happy to have this weight lifted off my shoulders!
Now for those of you who were strapped in to this ride from the get-go, I salute you! And for those of you who just recently joined me on this unforgiving journey, welcome and please keep your hands and legs inside the vehicle at all times… I can’t promise you that it’s always going to be a smooth ride, but I can tell you that it’ll be interesting. Thank you all so very much for being a part of this with me and really being more than just fans to me. I seriously cannot even begin to express how grateful I am to have made such awesome friends along the way and without sounding all sappy, I really do cherish you all! Group hug!!!
It really did feel like this ride would never end… but really, has it ended? This is only the beginning for me and I’m already working on some new material for the next album as well as some other side projects I can’t wait to share with you when I can.
And now, without further a due… Allow me to make it all official.

So after listening to it over and over and over again, I’ve decided that it would be a pretty cool treat to give you a little holiday gift from Platinum Dragon17. There have been some small changes between this one and the draft I showed you earlier. Many of you have been waiting patiently and have been asking when you can get your hands on new PD17 material, so I guess I can finally answer your question with “How about now?”
This is still in beta mode, but I think it’s good enough to give you as a little gift until the final version is released (which really could be soon or later… depends on what happens with all the other stuff I’m doing).
So here ya go! Go share it with your friends, family, pets, enemies… whoever! Spread the word that Platinum Dragon17 is back!

You know, I’m going to keep this short and get right to the point. Here is the final mix of Mechanical Holocaust. I think I’ve hyped it up enough…
… I just hope that it lives up to the hype.

Will this song ever be completed?! AHH it’s driving me nuts!
I listened to it a couple of times today and made mental notes of what needed to be changed and tweaked and fixed. I get home from work and start organizing my thoughts and going to work on what I can remember needs to be done. All my plug-ins are dialed in and ready to go. The song arrangement is good and I approve… preview the track and decide if this will be a draft or the final version. Select the entire track in Pro Tools and get ready to bounce and BAM! a CPU error pops up telling me that the CPU is being used to the max and I may need to remove some plug-ins. This has happened before, so I figured I’d try again…
… after about 20 tries, I decided that it would be best to walk away before I go ape-shit on my computer and throw my guitar into my screen (as you can see, the guitar would probably do some massive damage). Also doing so could also cause massive damage to my heart and I would probably cry for months.
The initial process of mixing the song down started around……… hell, I don’t even remember. But it do know it was awhile ago since I wanted to take it out into the car and unleash it on the streets of Cornwall, Ontario. It’s now 11:15pm and I am in my PJs listening to it in my headphones and will listen to it again tomorrow as I drive to work.
Now since you’ve gone through my rant or just skipped to the preview (no worries, I don’t blame you), I will say that you MAY be hearing a clip from the final mix. I will let you know tomorrow if what I was FINALLY able to mix down tonight is in fact the final mix that I can then leave alone and never touch it again until I start putting the new album together. Oh god, how great that would be!

So as a nice little treat, I’d like to let you hear the first official track from the upcoming album “Breathing the Machine” titled Chaotika. Hope you enjoy!
I’m currently working on revamping Perfect Poison and Mechanical Holocaust. The demo versions can be found on my ReverbNation page. After those are complete, I plan on starting to put together a new track. However, I’m not sure which one to start first. I’ve had my eyes set to finishing (Sanity) Through the Eyes of the Insane which is more of a “radio friendly” track but will still contain the necessary agression I’d like to deliver. I’ve also got another one in the works – well, mostly just thoughts brewing in my head – Annihilation: Start. This should be, and hopefully will be, pretty damn heavy.
