As mentioned before in my previous post about my live vocal performance of “Pretty Suicide”, I’ve gone and done another performance… this time of “Monster You Created”.
The response from the Pretty Suicide video has been pretty positive so far and many of you wanted to hear more. This is encouraging! I will be doing more of these performance videos in the coming months, amongst all the other things I’m working on.
So here it is, the live vocal performance of Monster You Created!
This song is easily one of the biggest influences behind Bullet of Reason (and back in my DoublEdged days). So I decided to go and cover Powerman 5000’s “Bombshell” as a tribute! You can watch it on YouTube or play it on my SoundCloud and download it for FREE!
Get up! Get up! Get up! Drop the Bombshell Get up! Get up! This is out of control
One of the reasons why I got into making my own music was actually because of “Savage Garden” way back in the day… I figured it would be fitting that I make a cover of one of my favourite songs by Savage Garden and give it to you as a freebie!
Here it is everyone… the cover of “Breathing The Machine”
The album artwork is done by Ewart Cameron (http://EKComics.com/), the same mastermind behind the “Breathing The Machine – EP”
And as promised, here’s the final track list for the album!
1. Theme For The Assimilated
3. Breathing The Machine
4. Beyond The Light
6. (Sanity) Through The Eyes Of The Insane
7. Annihilation: Start
9. Digital Embrace
10. Mechanical Holocaust
11. Black Widow
13. Hello Father
14. Slay To Survive
15. Requiem For The Assimilated
It took a lot of courage to go in and cover this tune, but I finally did it… and I’m happy to say that I’m proud of it! It’s a FREE download so why don’t you go and grab yourself a copy of it and jam it right into your ear holes?!
And here’s some album news……..
It’s done… ‘Breathing the Machine’ is finished… ready to be put to CDs and start delivering it to YOU! I will be revealing the album artwork sometime this week on my Facebook Page as well as the full tracklist, and then updating it here later.
I’m just a little excited…… and relieved (but mostly excited)!
I got into a conversation with one of my classmates today and decided that I should cover Alex Clare’s track “Too Close”. It’s such a beautiful track full of raw power and emotion, and I felt that it would be pretty damn fun to cover it. So in a mad 5 hour music marathon, I went into my studio and started to plug away at it, where I tried to stay true to the original as much as possible while maintaining a Bullet of Reason style on it. Here’s the final product, mixed and mastered, and ready for your listening and downloading pleasure. Go to my SoundCloud page where you can snag yourself the mp3!
Simple answer to the title of this post….. yes, yes I am.
I’ve really considered covering the original version of the track for awhile now and I finally built up the courage to actually start working on it and eventually decided to take it The Complete Cellout way. It’s still very rough and needs the vocals (which will be fully recorded soon) and then it will be ready for mixing (unless I decide to either scrap the entire thing or want to add more to it….. who knows….)
