Digital distribution has gone through and now there are a number of places you can pick up a copy of “Breathing The Machine”! You can purchase it through CDBaby (Digital and physical album), my Bandcamp (where you can get the Deluxe Edition and signed physical album), the FiXT Store (Digital download), and now iTunes! More places will be popping up real soon and I’m sure if you search online for Bullet of Reason – Breathing The Machine some of the other online retail stores will pop up.

Breathing The Machine…. It’s Activated and It’s Finally Here!

First of all,

Wow… is this really happening? Am I dreaming? This album is FINALLY released? Believe me, I’m just as shocked as you are.

But even though it feels like a dream, there’s really no going back now is there?

This album has been in the making for about 6 years now (yes, I started it even while I was finishing up my first album “Assault on Your Reckoning”). A lot of the lyrics were compiled over many years and it took me awhile to try to sort it all out to make some sense of it all. Some stuff from my old Platinum Dragon17 days, some stuff from my old DoublEdged days, and of course new material based on life experiences and the ups and downs that took place. It’s been a hell of a roller coaster ride which would really explain why this album was the longest album I’ve ever spent any time on. I think it’s fair to say that I’m extremely happy to have this weight lifted off my shoulders!

Now for those of you who were strapped in to this ride from the get-go, I salute you! And for those of you who just recently joined me on this unforgiving journey, welcome and please keep your hands and legs inside the vehicle at all times… I can’t promise you that it’s always going to be a smooth ride, but I can tell you that it’ll be interesting. Thank you all so very much for being a part of this with me and really being more than just fans to me. I seriously cannot even begin to express how grateful I am to have made such awesome friends along the way and without sounding all sappy, I really do cherish you all! Group hug!!!

It really did feel like this ride would never end… but really, has it ended? This is only the beginning for me and I’m already working on some new material for the next album as well as some other side projects I can’t wait to share with you when I can.

And now, without further a due… Allow me to make it all official.

I got into a conversation with one of my classmates today and decided that I should cover Alex Clare’s track “Too Close”. It’s such a beautiful track full of raw power and emotion, and I felt that it would be pretty damn fun to cover it. So in a mad 5 hour music marathon, I went into my studio and started to plug away at it, where I tried to stay true to the original as much as possible while maintaining a Bullet of Reason style on it. “So… do you like stuff??”

Anytime I ask anyone if they like stuff is usually when there’s awkward silence and I’m forced to break it somehow. In this case, I’m actually presenting you with stuff that hopefully you’ll like… without the awkward part.

First off, I’d like to say that the title of this entry pretty much says it all. If you’re a remixer or if you want to start remixing…. or if you listened to Black Widow and thought to yourself “Damn, I could do so much better than the original; I want to remix the hell out of that track!” well now’s your lucky day! Secondly, I’ve also uploaded the demo version of the title track from my upcoming album “Breathing the Machine”. It will be fully mixed and mastered (along with all the other tracks you’ve already heard from the EP as well as some material you haven’t had the chance to hear yet) next year at some time that would pose convenient for both myself and (hopefully) the studios I’ll be mastering them in. What I’ve been up too…

Been a little while since I’ve really done any updating here so here goes:

I’ve been busy working on new material….

Yep, that’s really about it! I’m hoping to get the title track for “Breathing the Machine” done this week. What you’ll hear may be the final version, however since I’ll be going to school this January for audio engineering I’ll probably end up going back to the project and remastering the whole thing all together…… hell, I’ll probably end up doing that to all my tracks I’ve released so far. That way when the full album drops, everything will be nicely mastered to something both you and I can actually enjoy.

Other than working on Breathing the Machine, I’ve been occupying my time with my other alias Platinum Dragon17. I’m in the process of bringing that project back to life but in a different way than just as a solo artist. I’m going to be taking that bad boy to the stage…. well…. DJ booth would be more like it. I’m still going to be working on my own original material, but it will primarily be focused as my DJ name.

Speaking of live…. some of you have been asking when the hell will you see Bullet of Reason kick some ass live! You know, that’s still a very good question. I’m hoping to have some stuff sorted out early next year in regards to how I can even bring my show to life…. stay tuned and keep pushing me on getting it up and running so that you can see me go bat-shit crazy on stage while jumping from guitar to mic to keyboard to whatever else I need to make a Bullet of Reason show possible.
