Don’t Fret Precious I’m Here…….. and album news!

It took a lot of courage to go in and cover this tune, but I finally did it… and I’m happy to say that I’m proud of it! It’s a FREE download so why don’t you go and grab yourself a copy of it and jam it right into your ear holes?!

And here’s some album news……..

It’s done… ‘Breathing the Machine’ is finished… ready to be put to CDs and start delivering it to YOU! I will be revealing the album artwork sometime this week on my Facebook Page as well as the full tracklist, and then updating it here later.

I’m just a little excited…… and relieved (but mostly excited)!

It’s almost ready…

It’s coming together very nicely and it’s almost done. Those are words I didn’t think I’d be saying anytime soon…. but it’s true. “Perfect Poison” has been cut from the album, but will not be forgotten. This will give the album a few extra minutes to play around with. “Stand Together” just needs some verse vocals set in place and then I can call it “pretty-much-complete”. Which leads me to some big news about “Slay to Survive”. I’m in the process of rebuilding this track from the ground up, starting it from scratch. But this time with a little bit of help…

As some of you may already know, “Slay to Survive” was originally a track from my old band DoublEdged. It was a huge tune (at least to us) and was possibly our favourite track. So my plan is to gather a few of my old band-mates together to bring this track back to life and essentially build a full length song full of pure rock and metal madness with the essential Bullet of Reason style electronics…

… But that’s not all that’ll be done with this track. I’ll also be looking at YOU for some help.

Stay tuned for more details!

Hello Father (PREVIEW)

Now I know I said I probably won’t post another preview until the full album is ready to go…… but I thought I’d be kind and give you a little taste of what’s happening!

Here’s a quick clip of “Hello Father”

Judas

It’s been awhile in the making…. there’s been a few bumps on the way. Session changing completely, lyrics being re-written. But I can finally say that my newest track “Judas” is ready to take over your ears and scream at you. Chalk another track up for “Breathing the Machine”. Maybe I’ll have the full album ready sometime in the next few years!

Enjoy.

Bullet of Reason – Alex Clare Cover (FREE MP3 DOWNLOAD)

I got into a conversation with one of my classmates today and decided that I should cover Alex Clare’s track “Too Close”. It’s such a beautiful track full of raw power and emotion, and I felt that it would be pretty damn fun to cover it. So in a mad 5 hour music marathon, I went into my studio and started to plug away at it, where I tried to stay true to the original as much as possible while maintaining a Bullet of Reason style on it. Here’s the final product, mixed and mastered, and ready for your listening and downloading pleasure. Go to my SoundCloud page where you can snag yourself the mp3!

Bullet of Reason covering Celldweller?!

Simple answer to the title of this post….. yes, yes I am.

I’ve really considered covering the original version of the track for awhile now and I finally built up the courage to actually start working on it and eventually decided to take it The Complete Cellout way. It’s still very rough and needs the vocals (which will be fully recorded soon) and then it will be ready for mixing (unless I decide to either scrap the entire thing or want to add more to it….. who knows….)

Enjoy this little sample of my cover of Celldweller – Frozen (Celldweller vs. Blue Stahli)

So far, so good! There’s progress!

I’m extremely satisfied with the new mixes of “Chaotika” and “Black Widow”. I also had a chance to finish the intro to the album and mix it too. Now I will focus on getting “Buildup (Teardown)” completed and then clean up “Breathing the Machine” and “Beyond the Light”. Once that’s done, I’ll go in and revamp “Mechanical Holocaust” and mix “(Sanity) Through the Eyes of the Insane”. “Perfect Poison” would come after that since I’m redoing that one completely. Then it’s off to organizing and mixing “Judas” and then finally completing “Slay II Survive”. Once that’s done I’ll probably get to work on “Annihilation: Start” and then finish off some tracks that have yet to be named…

I think I’ll be pretty busy for awhile!
